He sold his Middleborough land to Thomas Tomson on Sep 13, 1697 and relocated in Scituate where he married Mary Booth. In 1704 he built and operated the first iron works in the colony on the Indian Head River near Scituate. He was a member of the "First Military Company of Middleborough and the First Congregational Church which he joined on Sunday, April 20, 1729. Received 100 acres from father's will.
