Chico Weekly Chronicle-Record, Saturday, February 15, 1890, page 2, col 2: Death of A.W. Bunnell. Abner William Bunnell, a well known citizen of Butte county, died at his residence in Chico yesterday morning. Deceased was a native of Indiana, aged about 70 years. He residence in Butte county has been of late years near Biggs, though he formerly resided on the ridge above Pentz. Some six months ago he removed to Chico, being in feeble health, and has since declined gradually, until death came yesterday, more from old age and feebleness than any other cause.

Mr. Bunnell leaves a wife, and also three daughters and two sons, all married and with families. The daughters are Mrs. A. Parish, of Pentz, Mrs. Cudd, of Colusa county, and Mrs. Stiles, of Sisson. The sons are Thomas Bunnell, of Biggs, and Charles Bunnell, of Pentz. All these have been notified and will probably attend the funeral, which takes place at Paradise tomorrow.
