The Abigail Nutting who was born May 6, 1720 and married Joseph Whitney was the daughter of Eleazer Nutting and Abigail Davis, not Ebenezer and Ruth. The latter couple had a daughter named Abigail also, born Feb 8, 1717/8. I hired a pro. genealogist to research which one married Whitney, and he found Eleazer's will, which made it clear.
