Abigail CARMAN was born in 1665 at Hempstead, Long Island probably to John CARMAN and Hannah (_____). She died 19 May 1732 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.[2]
She married Timothy HALSTEAD in 1685.

In Colonial families of Long Island, NY and CT, by H. F. Seversmith, the author lists Abigail as the wife of Timothy Halstead, born about 1665 and probably the daughter of John and Hannah Carman.
Will of John Carman dated 14 Sep 1684 Hempstead, NY, proved 16 Oct. Names seven sons John, Caleb and Benjamin, Joshua, Joseph, Samuel and Thomas. Names brother Joshua Carman. Names daughter Abigail. Executors were sons John and Caleb. Overseers Samuel Emery and John Pine.
