About Abel Carrico, I
Able and Peter Carrico appear in Maryland records early in the 1700s, the earliest found to date is 1707 when Peter Carrico of Charles Co. executed a deed conveying property to Walter Story. Peter and Able were brothers and each names one of his sons after the other. Peter Lived out his life in Bryantown Hundred Charles Co. Maryland while Able later removed from Charles Co. to Fairfax Co. VA. A tradition strictly asserted by some Carrico Descendents is tat an earlier Peter, Father of Peter and Able, came to the colonies under the Auspices of the second Lort Baltimore. Although there has been no record found, the two brothers had a sister Jane, who married John Moore, a brother of the English poet, Thomas Moore. Able Carrico married Elizabeth Simms in 1730 in Charles Co. MD
