I was wondering if anyone has done any research on this line?

I've been in contact with a descendant of Lafayette Hatch which is where this lineage evidently began...

Lafayette was not raised by John Lazarus Hatch as he was illegitimate. Lafayette was given to slaves (we are unsure if they were Native Americans or African slaves) to raise, with 1,000 dollars in gold, by John Lazarus Hatch who had Lafayette as the result of an affair with a Creole lady from Metarie, Louisiana.

I've uploaded some research in a document called "The Redbones in the Neutral Strip" if anyone is interested.

That's an interesting story Sheila! Unfortunately the profile for Lafayette Hatch is set to "private" so I can't read the document or see if I'm related in any way. Was that your intent? I've worked on Hatch lines in early New England and currently have no way of seeing if they hook up or have a separate lineage.

Erica... Lafayette Hatch's profile is now public. Lafayette is the son of John Lazarus Hatch (who is reported to be from Ireland, and a doctor), the brother of Captain Joseph Thomas Hatch. Let me know if you need anything else.
