Upsate was made to the project to include

Suffix for profiles

Each profile should be labled with a suffix so anyone looking at it they can tell who's who.

These should be understood as (not in order)

CSA Confederate States Of America

USA U.S. Army

USN U.S. Navy

USMC U.S. Marine Corps

U.S. U.S. Deplomat (I.E. Senator from The Territory of Michigan, Secretary of War, Journalist Etc)

BRN Britsh Royal Navy

BA British Army

BRM British Royal Marines

What should we use for The Continental Army? Found one profile in both.

CA looks like Calif or worse Canadian Army (no Canada then but...)

I added a War of 1812 to all profiles that had no pic, and a sufix on those I could Identify.
I also sent MSG to all managers that needed something extra.

Private User are you active in the project, or just standing in?

Not sure what you mean by "standing in," but I add profiles and try to expand/cite profiles in the project when I have time.

Ok, just wondering,.

There were 32 Major Battles of the War of 1812. Didn't see how many people total.

Could end up being a long list.

I found war record put it in media On profile. Is there anyway to verify this person in Virginia War of 1812. Record seems to show that time period of service.

James Jarvis

Dear Billie June Keaffaber

I think that that your James Jarvis is not the one listed on the service record. That one was 22 years old at the time of his enlistment. Mr Jarvis would have been around 60 years old, probably too old to enlisted in the army.

I found some War of 1812 records for Virginia. Hope it helps.

I found this 1812 veteran while researching some my Armour Family. I not coming up with clear family for him only could verify wife and possibly one daughter. I seen reference to George Armour Jr and A Maria but can’t verify this information. The military record not fitting for Pennsylvania 1812 veterans by name either. Thought someone here might have clue to his service and maybe be able to exspand on family. If anyone can find anything it be much appreciated.

William Armour
