Richard (1729-1794) (2♂;2♀) Whittington, Jr.
Looking for a good source for Richard (1729-1794) Whittington
I think you'll find this is a private tree and not a historical Character. Dick Whittington was earlier and not from Pulborough. There are sites that the researchers will find interesting but not our place as Curators to do other people's research for them. If it's your own interest then I'll be happy to advise.
http://www.angmeringvillage.co.uk/ Has many sources relating to Pulborough as they are close by.
I have Penfolds from this area in my tree. I wasn't meaning to be critical only asking if you wanted sources for your own research or not. Sorry if I sounded short or critical. Maybe it was the stress of Britain in Bloom showing.
The profile must have been added by GEDCOM. The source in the profile is nonsense and http://www.angmeringvillage.co.uk/ was no help.
I'd like to solve at least who the correct parents are, Private User
hasn't been online since last year.
None of the searches I did have a Richard for those years, it may be a lost cause.
@Richard (1729-1794) Whittington
The source for this info is the IGI :-
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Search/frameset_search.asp
The information below is from the new Family Search site and is a transcription of his original baptism record. Pedigree Resource also has records added which are less reliable, as they are added by individuals, which indicates a death date of 1794. This needs to be verified by looking at the original register. Bishops Transcripts are held at the London Family History Centre and probably at other LDS Centres worldwide or can be ordered if not held at a particular centre. I have also provided a list of the microfiche records held by the West Sussex Record Office which include the relevant periods. Hope this helps.
I added this information to Geni over 3 years ago but it seems to have been altered from what I added originally and the Richard from Sussex has got mixed up with a Richard from Yorkshire! I am not sure how that could have happened and it's a bit annoying.
