My family was raised with the care and love of Lenny Bellin as our pediatrician and dear family friend. He made the effort to attend all our family events including the next generation of our family, and he and Shirley were a steady, loving presence in our lives. We will truly miss him and feel blessed to have known this wonderful man and his wife Shirley for so long.

Our sincere sympathay to the Bellin family. Dr. Bellin was the most incredible role model for my children. I just had to say Dr. Bellin says.......... and they obeyed. We were very happy that all 4 of our children out grew his office before he retired. Many times they say they would have loved to had him care for their children. He was the best the world had to offer.

To the Bellin Family, we want to send our most sincere condolences to you at this time. Dr Bellin was such wonderful gentle man. His calm voice at the end of the phone early in the morning was such a blessing. He was the best doctor. He was my doctor and my children's doctor until he retired, a sad day. I wish my daughter's in law could have had him for their children. I have thought of him often since he retired. He played a big role in my life for over 40 years. Rest in peace

To the Bellin family, my condolences for your loss. Dr. Bellin was my families' pediatrician for over 40 years and LOVED him! Starting in 1961! He was also my son's pedi until age 10 when Dr. Bellin retired! I remember him giving me my shots and crying so badly from the needle...but Dr. B always had a smile and a lollipop for me! He knew how much I loved the sugar cubes he would give me...he said it would make me strong & healthy! I just liked the sugar! haha! (my mom wasnt too happy though haha) I have to say that I was actually happy to go to the Dr's office. He was by far the best person..he was the same wonderful way with my son (who is now 22) and was sad when he retired because he was by far the best doctor and didnt want my son going to anyone else! I wish for the family to revel in only wonderful memories because that is what I will do! He was a great man and he will be deeply missed!!!!

I'm so very sorry to hear of Dr. Bellin's passing. He was a calm gentle man especially in a crisis situation. His calm voice at the other end of the phone or in the office would help any new mom. Dr Bellin was my famliy doctor and then my son's doctor. He was always there when he was needed. He held my hand in the halls of the Potter Building during a very tough time. We appriecate all he did. Rest in peace. The Finucane and Esposito Families

To the family of Dr. Bellin, You all probably already know how Blessed you are to have had Dr Bellin in your life. As you read all the wonderful things people are writing may you find comfort in knowing that his work here was done with all of his heart and soul. He was my pediatrician as well as my brother and cousins. My own daughters were his patients until he retired. My only consolation was that they were old enough to leave him anyway. We have missed him since that day. We loved him as our own and I know that he loved us as his. May God Bless him and hold him and his beloved wife close to His Heart.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Dr. Bellin. He was my son's pediatrician from 2 years until 17 years of age, when he retired. We carry many fond memories of doctor visits for check-ups to his office. He treated my son as if he was his only patient, often taking time from his busy schedule to chat and give real common-sense advice, as I'm sure he treated many other children. Years later after his retirement, I'd often see him in the supermarket, and he would always remember my son's name and ask how he was doing. Our family will always remember him as a gentle and kind man, who truly gave of himself. I'm sure that he will be missed by many.

Dr Bellin was a wonderful, kind, gentle man who knew exactly how to gracefully care for his patients..and the young new parents that looked to him for advice and assurance. My son and daughter were his patients from birth to early teens and they hold fond memories of Dr Bellin to this day. The trips to his East Side office were always looked forward to by my children...and that speaks volumes. May his family find comfort in knowing he was loved and admired by so many...and will be held forever in the hearts of all his patients and their families. Our deepest sympathies,

To the Bellin Family: I am very sorry for your loss. Dr. Bellin was a fine gentleman. He was my daughter's pediatrician which was born 25 years ago up until he could no longer treat her because of her age (which was a very sad day for me). You could call him any time of the day or night and he would return your call without a doubt. I have pictures of Dr. Bellin with my daughter on her first visit and a few visits thereafter. He was the best and may he rest in peace.
