If anyone is visiting Jamaica and willing to take pictures of any major graveyards is good for now

Sophie, many of the cemeteries are not active. Maybe one per big city. The older ones are in disrepair. Cousin Private User is doing some photos in Clarendon and western parishes.

Sonds good

Can we ask her to post that she is willing to do clarendon so it can be added as a discussion link

Yes, please do....

I mean u ask her

I will, buts she seems busy at this time. So I just added her as collaborator at Jamaica Graves.

thats cool, maybe its better anyway. i sent a message about adding for Jamaica and africa but still waitiing.

I am also interested in photos of grave sites in Clarendon and St. Catherine, Jamaica please.

Cousin Coreen "Coco" Boothe is doing some photos in Clarendon and western parishes.

Click on her name in 6/24th message.

I am likely to visit the Retreat Cemetery in March 2014. Any requests will be taken into consideration.

Where is Retreat Cemetery?

Well, I have been there before, the town of Retreat is into the hills from Ocho Rios, on the way through Lodge. To be quite honest, I have yet to locate it on any map, but I will probably be able to navigate there by memory.

Oh Ok , maybe u can take a photo of the cemetery itself and send it to me. I guess if any grave catches your eye, or any on the colonial side.

Hello everyone. I didn't realize this discussion was going on. I have some photos that I took on my computer.

sounds good

Private User, Can you upload the images to the Jamaica Graves page? http://www.geni.com/projects/Jamaica-Graves/media/5988

For those who may be interested, my previous trip to Jamaica netted me pictures from two graveyards - the first was in the District of Retreat (mentioned previously), the second was at the Four Paths United Church ( http://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000017553810001 ).

Those photos are available at the link below (perhaps I will be motivated one day to add them directly to the gallery listed above).
