My Finnish relative informant Seija Peters gives his name as Esko, not Vilho. it would be helpful if someone could find a source that confirms the correct name of Yrjo Soini's son. I notice that neither he, his mother nor his step-mother are mentioned in Yrjö Soini's newspaper death notice of which I have a copy. William Reeve.

Hi Will.

Have you tried to "google" Vilho T Soini?

Yrjö Vilho Soini (Wrote also with neck-name Agapetus) and his son are also the distant relatives of mine.
Unfortunately I know only his name and do not know even what the initial "T" in the name stand for.

Best regards from Finland

I have done more research and think I have found the answer to my own question. Vilho T Soini was born 25 May 1921. The “T” stands for “Taavetti”. However, he died in Helsinki on September 9, 1922. It turns out that he was one of THREE children! There was a daughter, Marja Helena Soini born 18 February 1929 who died on January 15, 1933 and there was another son, Esko Yrjö Soini born in Helsinki on August 8, 1922. This is the “Esko” that my cousin mentioned. Esko lived to adulthood, became a teacher and died on November 25, 1976 at Mikkeli. He married late in life but had no children.

Perhaps you or Lars should add this information to Geni.
