I was looking for information about my grandfather, Clifton D. Shoup. We've never been able to find his ancestry or country of origin. My name is Kay Shoup Hampel, I'm 60, and I live in Cincinnati. Can't figure out the language below Henry Shoup's name. Was thinking it could reveal is country of origin. Hoping to get a reply!

Below Henry's name is his place of birth in Russian, which Google translates as city of Penza, Penza region, Russia
