I always told my brothers that we're 1/256 th Italian and they would laugh. I think I saw that Charles de Langlade or the Grignon lineage has Italian ancestry or both but I would like to know whether we can really go back as far as Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus or not. Some men have been known to be notorious fence jumpers. Can we really go back as far as ancient Rome?

yes, we can go back that far, Gary. We'll have to do some serious research. or find a document someplace.

I would like to find out any Roman connection that I have. Also, I'd like to find out about my pilgrim ancestors. Maybe someday I will.
