The existence of Chone at the top of this Kornfeld tree is as yet only documented by an old family tree. In that tree, the surname of Chone is not given, nor is to given to his son Mendel. It is likely that they lived prior to the general adoption of surnames. According to that tree, Mendel & Rahel had 3 sons: Two were called PICK, and the third was Michael (or Mischl) who took the surname KORNFELD and had three wives.

I have seen this "Chone" before I think, but where I'm not sure ... it's probably simply duplication of what you have here ...

Peter, have you seen the "picks" in elisabeths headstone photos? I wonder if we can link them to the tree.

Do we have profiles for any other Picks? Michael seems to be the only child of Mendel that has a profile. There were a couple of Pick-headstones in Mlada Boleslav/Jung Bunslau as well. Those people were born in the mid-1800s though. Also, an Emil Pick seems to have been the witness at the wedding of Berthold and Jenny Kornfeld, grandchildren of Mordechai Baer.

(correction, witness at the birth of Berthold's and Jenny's son is what Emil Pick seems to have been.)
