Judy's tree shows child VII as Katharina (Telze) KORNFELD married to ALTAR . I could not read ALTARs first name. However, I think he is Moritz ALTAR (Meir Ha-Levi) . He was described as "brother-in-law" of Rabbie Aaron KORNFELD, and an approximate date of birh of 1812 - I think ithis was n the article in the Hugo Gold book.
JewishEncylopedia.Com gives this information:
"born in Goltsch-Jenikau, Bohemia, 1803; died there in 1868. He translated into German the Yozerot or liturgical pieces for Sabbath reading, published by M. I. Landau, Prague, 1836. K. T."
Samuel ALTAR was born 1837 in Goltsch-Jenikau (from Prague Conscriptions) and is I believe Moritz's son. These seems confirmed by Judy's tree where he is listed as 3rd child. Somewhere I found that Samuel ALTER worked in business with Ludwig KORNFELD.
Moritz ALTAR was son of Rabbi Jonas ALTAR (Jonathan Ha-Levi) (ca 1755-1855) (see Jewishenyclopedia.com)

Yes, it could be Moritz Altar (I wasn't entirely sure of the Altar, btw, but I think it's accurate, especially with your additional information). If you look very closely at the tree, the first name looks like it might be "Moses," which could be the Hebrew name for Moritz, I suppose ...

FYI, I just saw this ... it's a way of easily adding additional profiles to the discussion ...
