@Janice Helen Greenlees. I'm concerned about the privacy settings on Geni.com. I just received a message in my guestbook from someone called "Julia Carlin" who claimed her mother was a "Forbs". I deleted the message because it seemed a bit odd, as if a form of spam or some other malicious intent. This was from an account created on 10 May. I wish I'd reported it. I do not know this person and she is not remotely related and we have no profiles of interest in common, s to me so I felt that message as an intrusion. If my guestbook is marked private, how could this person contact me? I then logged out and searched my name on Google and see that the photos of all my family members are visible to anyone on a google search. I've tried to change the privacy settings so their photos can not be seen but do not know how. I suppose the other option is to remove their photos and untag any I've uploaded.

Private User (Another conversation with myself) I've worked out how to fix it. If I make my profile so that the public can't search for it the photos of my family do not come up.
