@Mathilde Evans (Jacobson)
Charlie Evans was born in Chicago circa 1882. He was a religious man sent to Minnesota to 'recruit the masses.' He married Mathilde Jacobson after sweeping her off her feet, and they both moved on to North Dakota with her family's blessings.
Mathilde's parents were recent immigrants from Norway. Mathilde recognized intelligence and a 'gift for gab' when she heard it; I don't believe she was too young to decide to marry, and their courtship quickly became commitment.
