Hamilton Tree

Does anyone have any information on James Hamilton, born c. 1669 in Lesmahagow,Lanarkshire,Scotland..He was married to Rebeka Stewart (born c.1673 in Avendale,Lanarks.They had 9 children,including my ancester,Daniel Hamilton who was born March 1st 1696 in Douglas,Lanarks.He married Mary Richmond (born c.1702 in Strathclyde) She was the daughter of William (born 1678, Loudoun,Ayrshire) & Marion Richmond. William was the son of George Richmond (born 1655 in Loudoun) & Janet Brown (born 1660 Strathclyde or Kilmarnock).Her parents were John Brown (born 1630)And Janet Loudoun (born 1634) .Daniel & Mary had 9 children,including my ancestor,Helen Hamilton (born 1726 in Douglas,Lanarks.).She married James Crawford ( born 1724 in Lesmahagow).They had 8 children ,including my ancestor,Grizal (Grace) Hamilton,who married Daniel Gillies.I would like to know who James Hamilton is descended from,& if there is any connection to the more "prominent" Hamiltons of the area.
