How do I add an unrelated profile?

There is a person I want to add to the Geni big tree. She is not related to me. How do I begin her tree? Thanks!

You can add her to your tree and then disconnect her so she is a standalone profile. For instance, I added the major Muslim historian and sociologist Ibn Khaldun as my son and then severed his relationship to me. From there I could build out his tree.

You should Click on "Follow" so as to not lose track of it but otherwise it works well this way. It may confuse your family!

The latest way is to click Research on the Geni menu bar and then Create a Branch.
