The wife of Davis Stockton of Albemarle County, Virginia.
Does anyone have any EVIDENCE that Davis Stockton was married to Sarah Anthony Goudylouch / Goudelock?

Does anyone have any EVIDENCE that Davis Stockton was married to a Sarah?
I can not find any documents that show he was married to a Sarah;
or that her middle name was Anthony;
or that her maiden name was Goudylouch or Goudelock.
Lots of researchers show his wife as Sarah Goudelock, but no one shows any documentation that information is correct.
Goudelock is just one of several maiden names researchers show for the wife of Davis Stockton. They can't all be correct.

Jerry,
As you know, I keep only the most basic of outlines on rootsweb and do not post my notes or sources there. You have placed several "post-em" notes to my outline and I have been appreciative of your posts.
With that, I have to say that I, too, have not seen a single source for the wife of Davis Stockton whatsoever. This is why I have not assigned a surname for her and have considered adding brackets to her first name.
This is a bit off topic but do you have sources for the wife of his son, Richard? Richard is listed by many as having married a woman named Agnes. Most have added her surname as Anthony but I have seen no evidence for this so I have her surname in brackets in my outline.
This is conjecture on my part but I think it possible that several careless descendants have added the surname, Anthony, to Richard's mother when they mean to add it to his wife.
Dan Woodruff
Dan,
I show Richard Stockton's wife as Agnes (maybe nee Anthony) Stockton.
