Friends who are not on Geni

you CAN. It's called sending an email. You will almost ALWAYS get better results, sending a personally written message, rather than an automatic solution which looks like spam.

Shmuel-Ahron, I have done that, but as I am not a typist ,it would be much easier for Geni to have a boilerplate invitation to send which included a description of what Geni is all about.

You can can invite friends if you wade through the process of letting it look through your address book for family. Then all you have to do is skip inviting more family and check the people (friends) in your address book you want to invite on the next page. It defaults to ALL of them checked, so be careful before you hit send! LOL!

You can also edit your invitation template so that you would only have to type the invitation as you want it one time.

Just click on the "Invite" up by your Inbox and Account and there is a link that says "Edit invitation template."
