I’m preparing to take my 75yr old father on a road-trip in 2 weeks' time to visit all the original farming plots owned by his French Huguenot, Dutch, German & British ancestors who arrived by boat in SA from the 1600s on.

So I've been doing research tracking the plots on the faded documents showing the original farms to see what they are today (Many of them are now world famous wine farms!) Some great people stories go with them - that also reflect on the politics of the country over the centuries, and so I've been thinking about doing a TRAVEL BLOG for our South African Cuzzin collaborator group who will have shared ancestors.

Anyone interested can take a look at the TRAVEL SA links between people and places that I’m starting to build up (see below)
PLEASE ALSO ADD YOUR OWN RESEARCH, AND SEND ME YOUR THOUGHTS & IDEAS FOR A ‘TRAVEL SA USING GENI’ BLOG.

Thankyou
Love Cuzzin Sharon

Hi
I've got a town and a story of an ancestor of my wife's to add but not now so I will contact you again in a few days or so.
Just thought I would send you a quick message in reponse.
Maybe we can get one of Captain Williams Walter Harding's descendants to join as well. The town of Harding was named after him apparently. He is my third great uncle's father so can I just add him or should I get the other manager's permission? What do you think? The other manager's name of that profile is John de Villiers Melville John de Villiers Melville
