Francis Hull was the father of my Great-Great-Grandmother Priscilla Ann Little Southard Ellis Brunner. I have several pictures of Priscilla and her parents. She ran the farm for her parents during the Civil War as she was the only child at home. She married Henry Claycomb Ellis in 1866, I believe, ans they had two daughters Ida, my Great-Grandmother and Flora Dell. Henry died October 4, 1872. Priscilla married William around 1877 and he had two sons, Alonzo John and George, from his first wife who died in 1867. Priscilla and William spent some time in the South in the early 1900's. As his health was failing they moved back to Galveston to live with Flora dell and her family. William died in 1913 and Ida went to claim her mother from her sister. Priscilla lived with Ida and her family in Washington until she died February 15, 1913. Her body was sent back to Galveston where she is buried next to William. My Father was born August 5, 1913, and only knew Priscilla for a very stort time. He knew all about her but the one thing that really stood out in his mind was that she always told family members that "we were members of the American aristocrisy". Dad didn't know what that meant until I started doing my research. He had full understanding when he died at 95 years in 2009. All I know is that Priscilla was one strong women as all the women seem to be on her side.
