my grandmother is listed as stepmother and it should be mother how do i correct this?

I think I traced your lineage through the search engine.

Your grandfather Joaquim moniz Faria is shown as:

Husband of Maria Amelia Fernandes Faria and (No Name)

Looks like you need to merge "Maria Amelia Fernandes Faria" and "(No Name)".

Can you do this by dragging one onto the other in tree view? The box for "(No Name)" may say "Add This Person". Hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard, and drag the real person onto it with your mouse.

It also looks like your father and all his siblings are duplicated. Presumably one set are the children of "Maria Amelia Fernandes Faria" and one set are the children of "(No Name)". Hopefully you can merge the duplicates. These are private profiles (and rightly so), so only you or a family member can actually see the details and manipulate them.

The view of an outsider such as myself is very restricted, with no edit access.
