I hesitate to merge @Mary A. Alexander (1818-1881) and @Mary Alexander (Grover) b. 1826 because I do not have enough information. I have found the death certificate of @Cornelius Alexander wife, but it tells me nothing about her parentage. I am sure the death certificate is for the right Mary since the address of the decedant matches the address of Cornelius and Mary in the 1880 Federal Census. Also, this Mary's age correspondes to the ages found in the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 censuses. Another detail: the death certifcate places her burial in Lafayette Cemetery; that was also the burial place of Cornelius. Mary Alexander (Grover) in Geni has a birth date of ca. 1826.
I would like to know what information you might have that ties Cornelius' wife with the Grover family. I'm not saying it's wrong, just that I don't have it. Can you help me?
Thanks for any and all help.
