Abigail Buras was my grandmother. Abigail Morgan married Laurent Buras (son of Pierre Leon Buras and Elenore Buras) on October 5th, 1907. Abigail and Laurent had three (3) children, before Laurent died in 8/25/1924. My mother Reva Mary Buras-Stevens (born 9/14/1921; died 11/5/1999) was her only daughter, and her two (2) brothers Newton and Ernest Buras. We never knew much about our extended family in Plaquemines Parish.
My grandmother was a wonderful little woman always heard about her sisters and brothers. As a child I met my Great Uncle Forrest at her funeral in 1969.
