Jane, There is a merger request for these two profiles that has been sent to Mark David Johns manager of the "Rainsbarger" profile. Also, I have invited him as a collaborator. I have been working, as I can, to eliminate all duplications in the Rymensperger, Reimensperger, Rainsberger line.

The problem with the merge is that George Washington Rainsberger is a private profile. Considering that he died in 1864, this is what you would reasonably expect. This profile can not be made public, because Catherine has three claimed profiles (i.e. actual Geni users) in her Family-Group (a 2nd great grandson and 2 3rd great grandchildren)....

So I did some sleuthing for you folks (something anybody could have tediously done). The three claimed profiles are:

Marvin Leroy Johns - Last Online: July 2, 2010
Mark David Johns - Last Online: November 26, 2010 <== the relevant manager.
"Lee" Findlay (Sawyer) - Last Online: September 1, 2010

So you might try sending a message to the other two users, and request they make the profile public. After that, any Curator can complete the merge for you.
