Of course you can view it on an Apple computer. It's not the same as viewing on an iPad. To view the actual tree on your iPad you need flash which is not available on an iPad or an iPhone.
The tree view is currently all FLASH, so you can't use tree view on the ipad or iphone for that matter. For some, that's everything, for others, it's not that much. But... you can do just about everything other than tree view from Safari on iPad.

PLEASE make Geni compatible with my iPad!!! I know this is a silly problem between Apple and Adobe but we the users are suffering.
agreed..... I'd love to work on my tree while I am on vacation. Can't do it since I will be traveling with the iPad. Genealogy trips are so much more fun when you don't have to bring the kitchen sink with you.

As far as I know Geni are working on replacing flash with html5, so stay tuned.
