I have noticed an increase in the number of threads in the Geni Forum

And from posters that I have never seen before..

The link to the Forum was removed many months ago, where are they getting the link to Forum?

The reason I am asking 'AGAIN' is that some of the questions in the Forum would be ideal to have here in the 'Public Discussions';

I know we discussed this before but it just seems to me to have discussions in both places to be redundant..

Some of us who are registered in the Forum are lucky to have access to both discussions but what about the other users are not even aware there is a Forum?

Angus,
I have actually noticed the opposite. :-) The forum is fading away. One of the most recent posts there was from a woman who a few days earlier posted her issue here, and had it addressed (TTBOMK). so posting it again there? Trolling perhaps?

Angus, if you click on the Help at the bottom of this page, you will then have Forum link at the bottom of the help page

Why remove something that is better Noah.
Discussion system here is very basic and sad

If I have a issue, I have no possibility to search in discussion for previous posted topic that have same topic or content that I'm looking for.

To be able to edit your post within a timespan after post would have been helpful, if you have done some spell mistake

To have unread thread at the top in the Discussion list would also be helpful, instead of have to go thru allot of pages to find it (today it is not user friendly at all).
This goes also for the Project list (When it says a project has been updated, I have to go thru many pages before I find it)

Have an option to mark a Thread, or all as "read" so you don't need to find it if you don't care.

I agree that the discussion feature needs some work, and we'll continue to enhance it as we have over the last few months.

You can search discussions, and if you use the "Show only discussions I'm following" checkbox, there is a Mark all Read link.
