I was invited to join Geni by a cousin two years ago. I joined Geni and entered my immediate family. Since then I have received numerous messages about the birthdays of various relatives, and even relatives when my daughter-in-law entered her family and joined it to our tree.

But when I go into Geni and find myself, I am not linked to anyone. In has lost my password for a year or so, and just changed my password - did I lose everyone? I now seem to have a second entry dated today.

Is there anyway to get back to where I was.

Thanks

Take a view tree and then click on the clock symbol in the bottom right corner to see if and who have disconnected you and take actions from there.

Roger, it looks like you need to merge your two profiles together. If you can still get into the old one (with the old password), then if you change your email address on that one to the same email you have now, it should recognize that two profiles are the same and you should receive a request to merge them. If that doesn't work, then send the info to help@geni.com and ask them to merge them into a single profile. Good luck!

You can merge those two profiles by entering similar e-mail addresses (or as an alternate e-mail). It should then prompt you to merge them.
