This surname appears to have got generated from the village of 'BORI' somewhere
close to 'Rajapur'. Our ancestors supposed to have migrated from here to other
parts of Southern Karnataka. We have our roots at Udupi & we do not have a very specific
date/time when & who came & settled down there. We were basically into farming.
