Gerald Garth Johnson published The Biography and Genealogy of Captain John Johnson with Heritage Press in 2008. And I was able to order an affordable copy on Amazon, so I'll be updating the Captain John Johnson project based on this book. While the genealogy is limited, he give sources for later branches of the family, some of which are available on the Internet I believe.
