I am looking for ancestors of an ancestor of mine, Silvia Coningham, {fictional}. One of her ancestors is named John Coningham Coningham (Cunningham). I came across this page and saw that this John Cunningham was born and died around the same time as my George Coningham (lived from c. 1820- ca. 1880). It is very likely he originally went by the name John Cunningham.

I have an relative named Private. He is the great grandson of Mary Fontaine (Cunningham), the sister of my ancestor John Cunningham. He knows a lot about the Cunninghams, and I will try to call him and see.

I do know that John Cunningham was born in Scotland or England, but his ancestors had come there from America in the 1800s.

It's interesting. My ancestor John Coningham Coningham (Cunningham) came from Scotland, but I don't know where precisely.

I think my John Coningham Coningham (Cunningham) and your John Cunningham might b the smae person.
My ancestor George Coningham, {fictional} 's father = John Coningham (or Cunningham) (born around 1825, died in 1884)
John's father= Charles Cunningham (born around 1790, died in 1841)

John Cunningham's father was indeed Charles Cunningham, but I have him listed as having died in 1840. So I'm guessing they are the same person.

Well now our trees are merged. So, we are fifth cousins once removed.
