I found out that George Coningham, {fictional}'s father, John Coningham Coningham (Cunningham) was Scottish and that he might have been called Cunningham.
I have finally talked to my dad. He confirms that George Coningham, {fictional} is British, of Scottish origin. I talked to an uncle of mine, Timothy Coningham (John George Coningham's grandson) , and gave me much more information. He says that George Coningham's father was originally named John Cunningham and was from Scotland. John had a sister named Mary, and she married a Frenchman.
George's father = John Coningham (Cunningham) (born around 1825, died in 1884)
John's father= Charles Cunningham (born around 1790, died in 1841)
Charles' father= David Cunningham (lived from about 1750-1810).
My uncle Tim has parts of the will of David Cunningham's father, David Cunningham (Sr.). He was born in 1721, interestingly in Virginia. This should help a lot.
