Our family says that Genaille name was changed to Chenail when the trip was made across the pond and then back to Genaille. I am told that Pierre Chenail who married Charlotte changed it back to Genaille. I will post updates as I verify when it was originally changed from Genaille to Chenail and then back to Genaille.
