Do we have him in the Project? Seems pretty well documented ....

No, and there is another very important Bishop Edward Reynolds of unclear if any connection to this tree. Also, of course, there is Sir Joshua R, England's greatest (portrait) artist, a bachelor, but somewhere I have seen his lineage for a few generations back, so there may be a connection.

The access genealogy site (an online version of the Seaver book) I put in the Project overview had a lineage for Sir Joshua Reynolds, I think.

If someone finds him in Geni I'll get his profile loaded to the Project. Same with the Archbishop and the Bishop. We might as well claim them. :)

Page 153 of Alvah Reynolds' book has Sir Joshua's parents, etc

Can I add him to Geni if he is not connected to this tree (yet)?

If a famous person like Sir Joshua isnt in Geni and cant be tied to the existing tree, is there a way to start building his line to help connecting him up to the tree later?

Sure. Anyone PRO can do it.

1. Make a brother profile to yourself.
2. Sever the connection to parents
3. Voila! New tree.

Neat. Ive added him to the project, speculatively.

Along with Bishop Edward Reynolds of Norfolk's tree, even more speculatively. We at least share the same name.

Sir Joshua has always been "claimed" by the Reynolds family apparently, so it is most likely true enough. I look forward to your profile on him.

I compared his paintings side by side with his rival Gainsborough, and was reminded how very insipid Gainsborough was.

Not that George lll ever had any taste. :)

Ive added Walter (the Archbishop) as well. No matches yet in the tree.
