I have two Virginia Barnaby's in my family tree and would like to delete one of them. The current tree show my mother and my aunt as Virginia Barnaby. I need to delete my aunt by the same name. There is no person by that name. Ken Barnaby

Ken,
please don't delete the work of other people. This duplicate profile is probably the result of an incomplete merge in your tree. What you should do instead, is merge the two profiles.

You do this merge by viewing the part of the tree that shows "both" of the Virginia Barnaby. Hold down the CTRL button, you should now see a yellow outline around the boxes. With our mouse drag and drop one of them on to the other, and in the menu that pops up, select "they are the same person".

My Grandmother suddenly became "match in another tree". I can't figure out how to correct this. Do I have to be a "Pro-member" to fix this?
I'm sure that the other person has added her in another way that I did.
That goes for other persons I added too, before I saw the "match in another tree" Somewhat irritating...

Svein,
being "Pro" only makes it easier to find these matches, but it is really NOT required. I wasn't Pro until recently.

In your case (and many others) it should be relatively easy to find the match. Just do a regular search for your Grandmother's name, and it should be easy to find. There are only ~2700 Ødegård and 289 Kjørsvik on all of Geni. So how many matches can there be if you use both first name and last names...
