Clara's social security number and my mother's social security number are sequential. In other words, Clara's is: XXX-XX-XXX2 (looking at her death certificate) and mom's is: XXX-XX-XXX3.
They must have applied for them together and received them together. That is way too much of a coincidence.

That is probably the reason. My daughter Eva and son William were born at the same time and applied for social security numbers at the same time. They too have sequential numbers.

Thanks but both my Aunt Clara and my mother were not born in the US, actually they came to the US at different times and they didn't always get along so it seems worthy of note :-)
