I discovered that when I added a fake profile such as Guest Login to the project, he's actually not listed as a profile the project is watching - he's listed as a collaborator!
The reason seems to be that the profile is claimed ... someone actually logged in under that name at some point.
That means he's free to remove himself, and free to add other profiles to the project. Not exactly what I had expected...
Correct, - that is also why the project is the most popular project in Geni: 662 "collaborators", - where most of thee are the fake accounts.
I add these users to the project to give them a hint.
You can classify profiles in two groups: fake manages and fake profiles.
If the manager. If the manager is fake, like Bart Simpson it is totally unnecessary to add each profile of the Simpsons family to the project. Someone have messed up the project description with such profiles. It is enough that one Bart Simpsons is mentioned, for example by a search link.
Please clean up the project description .- the profiles listed there should just be informative and for fun.

What is your view on if these fake profiles and fake managers be deleted? Since most of them are not collaborating with anyone it would have to be a geni help desk project to delete them wouldn't it?
Also feel free to edit the project page to better define the focus of this project :)

I made some comments here: http://www.geni.com/discussions/83765?msg=652128
As a project it should have both a fun and a serious side. The fun part should be the project page and it is enough to mention Homer Simpson once with a search link as it was before someone messed up the project page.
I know I can edit it myself, - I just want that we agree on how to use this project.
I am not going to ask Geni staff to use valuable time on closing down Homer Simpsons trees. As long as they are unconnected they should be left alone like the pedigree trees for dogs and horses.
For the Simpsons it is enough to tag the manager profile. If Geni staff want to take a raid cleaning up these they can access the project member and profile lists.
I do however hope that they first take out the offensive profiles, spammers, claimed historical profiles and especially those reenactment/impersonation group profiles with wild connections which would create chaos if they get merged into the main line.
