correction,

same blood line, however I don't know for a fact which is correct for Papa Jack, nor his siblings, I do know that he is oldest child & son of Papa Tan, with supposedly his sir name, I think Preston was the only son of 10 children that took last name of Nichols, the other 8 or 9 took last name Nicholas, as far as Papa Tan's siblings I do believe they carried the Nichols last name. I chalk it up to education back then, however in my view I know what name I carry, we all know what name we carry, spelled different, plain and simple we all know it's the same BLOODLINE, and that's good enough for me.. I really think Jack and Tan is a nickname, that is also very popular with our heritage. our ancestor speaking (primary) French, Creole
then English

Let's educate our future generation, as 2 the bloodline, and what's on our birth certificate.
