Age of people on fotos

I'm going to revive this old question, because i've been thinking the same thing.

At this moment i have my grandparents in a weird state, for example. My grandmother has her photo a couple of years before her death, while my grandfather is about 30 on his photo. Somehow to me it seems correct, but i cannot state why.

For those people, who are alive, i do attempt to do as current of the photo as possible, however. Of course, if the person has registered here, they can chose whatever photo of themselves that they wish.
