Announcing Mormon Pioneer Projects

I've added an additional sub project:

This project will cover the 238 people associated with the ship Brooklyn migration which included several of my wife's ancestors. They eventually landed in Yerba Buena (San Francisco) and so were part of the settlement of California just prior to the Gold Rush.

I just did an updated tally and there are currently 495 profiles added to the various Mormon Pioneer sub projects. I just wanted to say thanks to those that are following and collaborating on this project. The project is only a couple of weeks and this is great progress!

It would be helpful to also clean up an merge issues relating to the project at this time. If you'd like to be involved with the project please join and help out.

I just wanted to say thanks to those collaborating, or following this project. http://www.geni.com/projects/Mormon-Pioneers-1847-1868-Master-Project

In the last 30 days we went from 495 profiles to just over 1,000 total project profiles as of today! Since some of the pioneers crossed the plains multiple times to assist and guide other immigrants the number of unique profiles is estimated at about 10% less or about 900 pioneers.

Also the 1847 Brigham Young project now has 100% of its profiles found and added to that project.

If you'd like to join the project let me know by visiting the various project pages directly and requesting collaboration.
