Through Ezekiel Cheever we are linked to FDR in two ways. On the Delano side FDR descends through Ezekiel's daughter, Mary Cheever (1640-1728). The lineage is documented on (among many sources):

If you trace Ezekiel Cheever back further, he is connected to Ezekiel and Nicholas Culverwell who as a Puritan leader helped spiritually form Governor Winthrop of Mass. and officiated at the latter's wedding.
Ezekiel Culverwell, a priest educated at Oxford ,was the brother in law of Susan Culverwell Whitaker, wife of the Cambridge Divine, William Whitaker, who countered Jesuit Bellarmine who headed the counter to the counter Reformation. Whitaker's son, Alexander, was in early Virginia as an Anglican priest and baptized Pocohontas.
