Gosh, I have 2 medallions which I have always wondered about. One is a bronze medal with the name J H Drummond and the inscription reading " From the President of Sonoma Valley for valuable services ato their exhibition. San Francisco September 1887" The other is a large silver medallion from the Mechanic's Institute San Francisco - the back reads "Industrial Exhibition awarded to J H Drummond Antique Specimens Curios and Fancy Canes 1886. I never knew who he was - just recognized the Drummond as being in your names and didn't know which side of the family it was from.
