Does anyone know what Grace's maiden name was? Aunt Pat didn't know, so I did a little looking around.
In 1910 census there is an Oscar (age 30; Iowa-Norway-Norway) & Victoria (age 27; Iowa-Iowa-Iowa) Aslesen who lived near Lars and Kari Jacobson with an 8 year old daughter named Grace Aslesen. Also on page are Charlie and Nathan Babcock.
In 1930 Martin is in the census married to a Grace.
There is a Grace Ellen Jacobson born October 5, 1903 who died July 4, 1994 who listed her mother’s maiden name as Whitney.
