I have some timeline info that is from what appears to be a credible source (well researched).

1870 – June 11 - Troy, Davis County, Iowa – 1870 census: for John W. b.p. Virginia –
age 75

1856 - Troy, Davis County, Iowa – 1856 census: for John W. -“years in Iowa: 4”- b.p. Virginia – age__ occupation - mason

1852 – Troy, Davis County, Iowa – Came to Iowa (see above)

1852 – The Mormon Church in Utah requires polygamy as part of their faith D&C
Sec.132

1851 ----- John W Archer’s Son - Montezuma Saunders Archer married to Sarah Anne
Gaylord at Hudson [now Lyons] Walworth County, Wisconsin

1850 – September 14 – Hudson [now Lyons], Walworth County Wisconsin – 1850 census:
Occupation – farmer

1849 – June - Walworth County Wisconsin – Civil trial: Archer vs. James J Strang and John Cole
Walworth County, Justice of the Peace Court 1849 to recover a 2 horse lumber wagon

1846 – November – Listed in Zion Reveille newspaper printed in Voree Wisconsin as High Priest M.S.
(Montezuma) Archer & M.H. (Moroni) Archer listed as Elders in the Strangite Mormon community.

1846 – June 1 – Wisconsin Census Spring Prairie Walworth Co. indicates John as head of household with 6
males and 2 females – Mary and ? (suspects Josephine or Evanade)

1845 – December 17 – Hancock County, Illinois – Deed: Sold 160 acres to William A. Smith & Samuel Irvine $500

1844 ---- James J. Strang claims leadership of the Mormon Church and leads about one third of the Mormons from Nauvoo to VoreeWisconsin in Walworth County.

1844 – June 27 – Joseph Smith II and his brother Hyrum Smith are killed while in the Carthage city jail in Hancock County Illinois

1843 – August 18 – Hancock County, Illinois – Deed: John W. Bought 160 acres from Ira Sanborn $350

1843 – November 28 -- In the Mormon redress petitions, Documents of the 1833-1838 Missouri Conflict Petitions to the US government were written and signed by those Mormons who lost land in the Missouri conflict and expulsion. Signed By : John W.; Mary S.; Montezuma, and Evanade Archer.

5-10, 2 males 10-15, & 1 male 40-50. and 2 females 15-20, 1 female 20-30, & 1 female 40-50.
Females would be Cleopatria (b. 1821), Josephine, Evanade & Mary.

1837------------ Evanade Archer born - Missouri? (this birth date is suspect see census Indiana 1830 &
Illinois 1840)

1833-1838 – Mormons first settled in Jackson County Missouri the in Clayton County Missouri – Finally in 1839 they were evicted from their homes by the State government and sent by boat to Quincy, Illinois, Adams County.

1834 – March 2 - Lyman Wyatt Archer born in Indiana

1831------------ Moroni Archer born in Indiana

1831 – Mormon settlements began in Jackson County Missouri

1831 ----- The Mormon Church moves to Kirkland Ohio

1830 – Indiana, Greene County census lists John Archer as head of household 2 males under 5 & 1male
30< 40 – 2 females 5-10 & 1 female 10-15 & 1female 30< 40. If this was John W. the females could be Cleopatria (b. 1821), Josephine, Evanade, & Mary. The males could be Max (b. 1824) Montezuma (b.1826) & John W.

1830 – April 6 -- Joseph Smith starts the Mormon religion Palmyra NY

1825 – October 26 - Erie Canal NY completed

1825 – November 11 Montezuma Saunders Archer born in Indiana

1824 – Maximillian H Archer born in Indiana (Note: 1850 IL census list his age as 20-b.date could be
1829 or 1830.)

1821 – November 3 - Cleopatria Archer born in Greene County Indiana

1820 – May -- 1st Section of Erie Canal opened from Montezuma NY to Syracuse NY

1818 --- January 31 Married to Mary Saunders (Sanders) Orange County Indiana
1817 --- July 4 - Erie Canal NY started at Rome NY

1816 - 1816 --- The Joseph Smith family moves to Palmyra New York 37 miles from Montezuma N.Y.

1805 – December 23 Joseph Smith II is born in Sharon Vermont

1798 – April 4 – Mary Saunders (Sanders) was born in North Carolina

1794 – December 21 – John W. Archer was born in Virginia [note Virginia then included all of what is
today the state of Kentucky]
