I have just found a PDF file of this old book, originally published in 1883. It lists the membership, the pastors and the deacons of this historic church in Boston from 1669 - 1882. It is quite a large file so I don't know how well it would email (took half an hour to download on cable internet). If you search for it, I found it on Google. It's part of the U.S. Archives. It may also be available through Boston Libraries.

I would be happy to look up anyone that you think might have attended the church during the years covered. If they attended the church it is pretty certain they lived in or near Boston in our country's earliest days.

What a find! Are there any people named Vesey/Vasey/Veazey/Veasey? We're trying to find John who married Martha Brocas/Broccus who ended up in Cecil County, MD by 1670-ish but we can't find birth/death/marriage records nor any deeds with those names on them (just the sons later on). Thanks, Maria!

Marsha,
Do you have any idea of the year(s) they might have been in Boston? The book is arranged in 2 sections, by the year they joined the church and alphabetical. I did a name search and came up with nothing. If they were in Maryland by 1670, they may not be included in this book. If you have any other clues that might help the search, I'll look again.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Maria

Marsha Gail Veazey

I am so excited! I found a Samuel and Mary Veazy with the baptism date of 1687. I will make a PDF of the page for you. Do Samuel and Mary have profiles here on Geni? I can attach the pdf to the profiles.

Thank you for the name of the book. I have a lot of family from historic Boston. I went to www.books.google.com and the entire text is online The best thing about the online books is that they are instantly searchable by name or other keyword. I've found a lot of family facts by searching in these old historical books.

Cool, Maria! Thanks so much! No, they don't have profiles here - yet! I have been hoping to match up with the Boston-area Veazeys but have yet to do so. If you can email me the pdf, I'll hold onto it until I can get that branch on here. I am kind of disappointed no one from that branch is here on geni. Do you know how I can start a new branch without it being connected to the tree? Thanks, again!
