I'm not sure what to do here. The New England Historical & Genealogical Register has published corrected, updated, information about Bennett Hodsoll. (Volume 164, April 2010, pages 104-111 - "English Ancestry o Bennett Hodsoll, First Wife of Edmond Freeman of Sandwich, Massachusetts")

Bennett was baptized 23 August 1596 and was buried 12 April 1630 in Pulborough, Sussex, England. She was the daughter of John Hodsoll and Anne (Maundy) Hodsoll. She married Edmond Freeman 16 June 1617 in Cowfold, Sussex, England.

Her grandfathers are identified as well. How do I go about correcting the information? Thank you!

Hi Barbara,

Do you have collaborator rights on the profile? It seems I do, which means I can edit it because I collaborate with one of the "managers."

I am sending you a "request to collaborate" you can piggy back off my rights.

Now the ways to fix it are this:

1. Edit in your source reference material in the "overview" tab. Please put in the URL of the citation if you can.

2. Initiate any outstanding merges on the profile. (I'm doing that right now).

3. Once the various profiles are merged together, we can correct the parents and grandparents. Can you list out the URL's for the correct parents and grandparents here?

Thank you for responding, Erica! I'm so lost.

I seem to be a manager on Bennett's profile, does that mean I also have collaborator rights?

Tried to merge but a window came up saying they were having technical difficulties. I'll try again later...

Hey Barbara,

It's not just you -- this area of the tree is a bit of a mess. A lot of it is due to merges of her relatives that are pending, so I'm powering through getting some of those sorted. Then we can get the relations straighter after.

If you can plot out on this discussion what the relationships *should* be:

grandparents
parents
husband(s)
children

That will make it easier for me to fix. A URL to a good source I can compare with on line helps me visually, but of course the source you cited is excellent proof for the profile, and yes, as a manager, you should be able to edit in that information into her "overview" tab.
