My dad was very involved in the beautification committee of Century Village in Deerfield Beach. He asked everyone to save their newspapers and then they were collected and sold. His committee planted more than 2,000 trees in the village. This was beore the big push for recycling. He also was involved with the gazaebo building and Sunday in the park concerts.
