Oppy comes from Burke....Burke was given land from a frenchman (the frenchman and Burke met on a boat). The frenchman gave Burke some of his french grant land in Wheelersburg, OH.
The Oppy name is related to Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson also stayed at George Rapp's house.
